COVID-19 Shutdown Week 13

     Announcements                                      

  •  Last day to submit any assignments for partial credit only will be June 12th at 5:00 PM.

  • Need help with an assignment?  Mr. DeGrandis has office hours on Zoom after class. Just let him know you need some time!

  • I will hold office hours (the usual Zoom class time) for those of you who want to pop in for questions or help with any of your ELA assignments.

  • Start the Do Now

    1. Learn About TedTalks: What is a TedTalk and Examples. See above Do Now.

    2. See Examples of TedTalks from past 8th Graders (see Google Classroom for the videos titled, )

    3. Read the The Rubric for your TedTalk

    4. Write the Script for your TedTalk!  See Google Assignment 74.0.

    5. Rehearse, Rehearse, Rehearse your TedTalk

    6. Record your TedTalk and upload to your school YouTube account.

    7. Submit URL from your TedTalk YouTube video to Google Classroom Assignment 80.0 for credit.

         Assessment / Homework                         
      • Your 20% Time TedTalk is due June 8th. I would focus on this first because it is a greater portion of your grade for the last marking period. Submit the link to your video in Assignment 80.0. No link = no grade!

      • Reading of TKMB: See the suggestedreading schedule in the Stream inGoogle Classroom. I have not assigned every chapter. Just four each week. There will be a brief quiz on these chapters.

      • Study Guide Questions for chapters 15- 19 are due Friday June 5. The rest are due the following Friday, June 12.

      • EXTRA CREDIT: If you get these assignments done and need extra credit, complete Assignment 90.0 in Google Classroom. You may do this for extra credit until all other work is complete.
