    New Entry Title: The Writing Process
    1. Brainstorm Ideas
    2. Structure Your Idea
    3. Write a Rough Draft
    4. Peer Edit Rough Draft - check capitalization, spelling, grammar and punctuation etc...
    5. Make Edits to Rough Draft
    6. Repeat Steps 3 - 5 Until Satisfied
    7. Write Final Draft
    8. Publish Your Work for the World to Enjoy!

    • I can review and practice using the writing process to create a 6-Word Horror Story for Halloween.

         Mini-Lesson:  6-Word Stories         
    1. Watch these two videos on 6-Word Stories and Memoirs
    2. 6-Word Stories
    3. Six Tips for Writing Six-Word Memoirs
    4. Mr. DeGrandis will demonstrate the writing process and as a class we will create a 6-Word Horror Story together.
    5. Publish the story on www.smithmag.net

         Work Time                     
    • Create a 6-Word Horror Story (Here are some creepy examples!)
    • Proofread it very carefully with a friend!
    • Using pencil, create a rough draft on colored paper.
    • Have Mr. DeGrandis do a final check.
    • Write final draft with colored markers.
    • Decorate it!
    •   Students whose work is exceptional and error-free will be published on the 6-Word Horror Story Wall in the first floor hallway.

        • Submit it in Google Classroom in Assignment 20, "What is You 6-Word Horror Story." Then...
        • Sketch out your 6-Word Horror Story on blank paper you can get from your teacher.  Use pencil!  Be creative and fill the whole page with the words!  We'll finish them on Monday!

            Complete assignment 21.0 in Google Classroom. 

            Once you have completed 10 Thoughts, work on your 20% Time Project.
