How Do I Earn Participation Points?
Everyone Starts with 4 Points: 2 for Listening and 2 for Participation.
You will know you lost a point if I have to speak to you about not following the class expectations.
Listening Points: To earn (or keep) your two listening points, you must listen quietly when I am talking and follow all directions given. If you fail to do this one time, then you lose a single point. If it happens again at any time during the rest of the period, then you lose the second point.
Participation Points: To earn your two participation points, you must be involved in whatever independent or group work you are assigned. If I notice you are off task, then you would lose a point. If it happens again, then you lose your final participation point.
If you lose all your participation points and still do not follow class expectations you may be asked to attend a lunch meeting with me.
Notes
1. If you are absent you automatically get all your points for the day.
2. If you argue in front of the class because you lose points, you will lose all participation points for the day and may be asked to attend a lunch meeting as well. We can discuss your points at our meeting.
