- When answering questions on the ELA that are based on a passage or two...
- USE TREES and you can't go wrong (Topic sentence, Reason, Evidence, Explanation, Summary sentence).
- If the questions says, "Use details from the passage to support your response," be sure to use direct quotes from the passage.
- If the question is based on two passages, be sure to use evidence from BOTH passages!
