Entry Title: Research Presentation Checklist

Directions:  Copy this checklist into a new document and use it with your team to make sure you have everything ready to go on your presentation.
 

Research Presentation Checklist

  • Slide 1 - Title of your group's topic; Names of group members
  • Additional Slides Have...
    • a picture related to the question being discussed.
    • a word, phrase or sentence that captures the main idea of the slide
  • Last Slide - Titled Works Cited; has one citation for each question (Period 6 only needs three)
  • ALL SLIDES MUST
    • have NO spelling errors
    • be grammatically correct
    • font size 18 or more
    • have a color and/or design theme

  • Edit and revise slides with your team as needed.
  • Rehearse the presentation if you finish.

           Mini-Lesson:  Presenting Your First Run            
         
      • Your group will be presenting to your teacher.
      • Here are some guidelines to keep in mind...
            • Each member of the group must present some portion of your topic.
            • You need to teach us about your topic.
            • By the end, the class should understand the following...
              • What your topic is about.
              • Why it is important.
              • How it relates to To Kill a Mockingbird and/or American History.

        • Using the presentation rubric to grade each other.
        • Demonstration of how to proofread a slide presentation?

        • Using the rubric in Assignment 51.0 in Google Classroom, present to a classmate who is not in your group.
        • Have that person give you a grade based on the rubric.
        • Revise your presentation as needed.
        • Rehearse, rehearse, and rehearse some more!

          • Rehearse from home!  Use Google Hangouts!
          • Share your Google IDs with your group and try using Google Hangouts.

        • Go to Assignment 51.0 in Google Classroom and open the rubric in the instructions.
        • Guidelines on how to use a presentation rubric to grade your peers.

        • As each group presents, be ready to offer your opinion about their presentation.
