        ANNOUNCEMENTS
1. Welcome back! I hope you all enjoyed Thanksgiving break.

        LEARNING TARGET

  1. I can peer review my classmates' 20% Time Project Proposal by giving positive and constructive feedback.

  2. I can make sure that my 20% Time Project Proposal includes all the rubric requirements.

        WORK TIME

Check that your group mates answer the following questions:
  • Your name.
  • What you'll be doing for your 20% Time Project.
  • Why you chose this project.
  • What materials and resources you will need.
  • What obstacles you anticipate and how you plan to navigate those obstacles.
  • Why this project is worthy of a significant investment of your time.

Then, give some positive and constructive feedback!

Remember these three:

I like, I wish, I wonder

Here are some other sentence starters for giving feedback.

Graciously thank the audience for their time/consideration of your idea. Be organized with your thoughts and be ready to speak passionately about your 20% Time Project proposal.

You will also participate in a full-class question/answer session after your pitch (a kinder, gentler Shark Tank experience of sorts), so be ready to further explain/defend your idea.

The rest of the class will listen to your presentation to determine if this idea is worthy of your time.

Digital thumbs up: This idea rocks! Go for it.
Digital thumbs down: Ehh, I think you should go back to the drawing board.

If there is a tie - Mr. D. and Ms. Q will decide on the proposal.

We will chose the presentation order at random with the Wheel of Names.
